Things to do

-Make a trip to High Fashion Fabrics and find a crisp black and white patterned fabric to make the Wasp Bag. Made with sturdy fabric and leather straps, it could hold my laptop, papers, or maybe even a few groceries... I don't know when I'll have time to make this but it has fun weekend project written all over it.

-Organize my recipes for easy perusal. I am especially saving recipes left and right for my parents.

-Dream up some ideas to invigorate our apartment. We rent, so I hesitate to sink money into big pieces that may or may not work in a future home. Basically, we have an excellent collection of bedding and kitchen stuff and that's it. Ever since I graduated from college and started working, I consistently put a tidy portion of my salary towards amazing sheets, knives, cookware, etc. But now we want to add some flair to our space - I'm thinking throw pillows, curtains, and more stuff for the walls.

OK, enough with the to-do lists. However, the last item on my list reminds me of another exciting project, although this one is for my parents. We recently visited my parents' new three-story home on the Savannah River. It made me jealous but also excited for them because there are a lot of possibilities. One of the best areas is the living/sitting area, which has a great view of the river and tons of light. The sitting, dining, and kitchen areas open up onto a beautiful deck, where I foresee many family get-togethers. This place is going to be PERFECT for the 4th of July!
