Hello again

Well, hello. It has been a little while, hasn't it? I have been working hard and enjoying my evenings after work but I thought I'd share a few of the activities that have been taking up my time lately:
  • Eating Honeycrisp apples like mad. Honeycrisp apples are in season again! Rejoice in eating the juiciest, crispiest, sweetest apple ever while they last. And keep a napkin or two handy. I should know.
  • Reorganizing and cleaning. Everyone else has a part of their home that they are ashamed of and would not want anyone else to see, right? (Right?) For us, it was the guest bedroom/office which was, okay, I'll say it, massively cluttered with crafts supplies, boxes, clothes to be donated, and who knows what else. The room is finally approaching a presentable state, I am happy to say.
  • I also picked up a new plant to brighten up the bathroom (check out its heart-shaped leaves!).

  • Quietly celebrating a major milestone last week. A mere 6 years ago, Mark and I were set up on a blind date for Rice's annual Screw Your Roommate. We've been together ever since (mostly), laughing, traveling, eating, and supporting one another in everything.
  • HBO's John Adams mini-series. So good!
  • Finally, lots of cooking (of course). A peek into food to come: Vietnamese mixed seafood in black pepper sauce, roasted spiced pork tenderloin, and madeleines.
