I do not like Ike

For anyone sheltering in Houston during Hurricane Ike, be safe! We are prepared: water, canned food, peanut butter, flashlight, Scrabble, and of course enough beer and wine to last a fortnight.

Last night the mood in Houston was absolutely electric. We went out for dinner with our friend Brandon and tossed back many a frozen margarita in the midst of a restaurant packed with giddy kids and adults buzzing about Ike. That is not to say that Houston is not taking this hurricane seriously - just nervously anticipating his effects. To all my Houston friends, stay safe and keep your families safe.
